Kimbe to host Vipers

THE Port Moresby Vipers will play away for the first time this season when they meet the Cutters in their first home at Humphreys Oval in Kimbe on Saturday (2pm kick-off).
Also in round 10 of the Digicel Cup, the Mt Hagen Eagles will face the Goroka Lahanis at John Ambane Oval in Minj, Jiwaka, on Saturday (2pm).
The Rabaul Gurias will host their third game of the season when they meet the Central Dabaris at Kalabond Oval in Kokopo, East New Britain, on the same day and time.
PNG National Rugby League Competition manager Stanley Hondina said in a statement yesterday that the Vipers and Dabaris would travel from Port Moresby to Kimbe and Kokopo respectively on Friday.
“Ticket prices, points of sale and the number of spectators allowed access will be announced in Kimbe, Kokopo and Minj,” he said
Hondina said the Vipers and Dabaris would not be in contact with their supporters and families from arrival until departure in Kimbe and Kokopo.
“This protocol applies to teams travelling into and out of Port Moresby,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Enga Mioks will face the Mendi Muruks at the Lae Rugby League Ground on Sunday (3pm).
Port Moresby’s Sir John Guise Stadium double-header on Sunday will see Gulf Isou face Waghi Tumbe (1pm) and ladder leaders Lae Tigers meet the Hela Wigmen (3.15pm).
