KINA Bank last Tuesday won an award for being the most progressive private sector from the Papua New Guinea Human Resource Institute.
The award, according to sources, was in recognition of the bank’s successes in the areas of digital innovation and technology.
They said reports of customer service experiences and satisfaction had been quite obvious.
Receiving the award, Kina Bank head of employees Akino Wano said it was always the bank’s objective to be a leader in digital transformation, especially in the banking sector.
“We will continue to try and maintain that in the way we do business with our customers,” he said.
She named some of Kina Bank’s digital personal online services as Kina Whatsapp banking, Kina Konect, Kina mobile app, Kina eftpos, Kina internet payment gateway, Kina corporate online and mobile banking.
“Others are being developed.”
Kina Bank had also launched a digital hub service centre in Port Moresby.
Meanwhile, PNGHRI president Jerry Wemin said the council had monitored the development and progress of Kina Bank and was impressed by its digital transformation culture.
“Kina Bank is setting the pace at this time,” he said.
“As we tap into the digital age, technology will become more relevant in every aspect of our lives.
“In the corporate or business world, it is good to see PNG companies and organisations accepting this challenge and are trying to meet this demand.”
