KIRA Kira village victims in Port Moresby received food as relief assistance from a private investment company last Saturday.

Pacific Balanced Fund had joined other business houses and corporate organisations to assist the displaced families in the village who were victims of rogue soldiers from Taurama Barracks last month.

The bags of food included rice, flour, sugar and assorted canned food.

It will be distributed equally among the families.

Pacific Balanced Fund marketing executive Cedric Murray said as a home-grown company, it was right for the company to come in and help the people with their immediate needs.

He acknowledged that Kira Kira village had a substantial number of unit holders who had invested in the fund since the existence of former Investment Corporation Fund of PNG.

“Our contributions to the distressed families also symbolises our commitment to the investors in the village who hold units with Pacific Balanced Fund,” Murray said.
