YOUNG people nowadays need to understand their calling and purpose in life, a pastor says.
Rev Tony Dalaka, from the Assemblies of God (AOG) church, said that on Monday at Baiyer, Western Highlands, during the AOG Sinai district students alabaster ministries back-to-school programme.
Rev Tony said some young people, including other Christians, were lost and questioned their purpose in life.
He encouraged people to look deep within and discover their potential.
“Just look at what’s inside of you and try to make that gift work,” he said.
“Many do not know their purpose and this is why they are confused and living miserable lives.”
Rev Tony said the AOG students body from Baiyer realised their purpose and that was why hosted the gathering.
“If Baiyer can do it, other districts and student bodies must do something worthwhile too,” he said.
He said young people should stop looking back and start looking forward.
“Some of you here are accountants, lawyers, business people but you do not know which road you’re on,” he said.
He said it was time people stopped day dreaming and started living a purpose-filled life.
