Koim, we need you
The National, Friday July 26th, 2013
WE hear that each member of Parliament has been given K3 million for various projects in their electorates.
But the people of Anglimp-South Waghi, are still waiting for MP Komun Joe Koim to come up with his development plans.
We read and hear about MPs executing their development plans and allocating funds for various im-pact projects in their electorates.
We are wondering as to when Koim will launch his master plan that will be a roadmap for development of education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, law and order and economic activities in his electorate.
Many of the roads and bridges as well as education and health facilities have deteriorated to an almost irreparable state.
For instance, Minj Secondary School needs a complete overhaul of its infrastructure if quality education is to be provided for the students of Jiwaka.
Anglimp High School needs an upgrade of its facilities since it will become a secondary school next year with its first intake of Grade 11 classes.
The road from Anglimp junction to Kurki is in a bad state and needs urgent repair and resealing.
The people of Anglimp-South Waghi have been deprived of basic services for a long time and want to see change.
