THE Rotary Club of Kokopo has donated 56 boxes of library books to three primary schools in Manus.

Club president Anthony Lilou said the library books were donated to the three primary schools in the Tetidu local level government area.

They are the Kawaliap, Buyang and Londru primary schools.

Lilou said the Kawaliap and Buyang primary schools received 18 boxes each, while Londru Primary School received 20 boxes of books.

In addition, the schools received desks.

Lilou said it took him two hours to walk from Kawaliap village to Worei Primary School to be able to catch a boat to Londru Primary, in southern Manus.

He said Worei Primary School could be accessed by road from town and boat through Worei River.

Lilou said it would take two hours to walk from the main highway to Worei and about an hour by truck.

He said the club donated the books to help build human resources in the province.
