EAST Sepik now has a new acting provincial administrator in Richard Kombo.

The provincial executive council last Friday appointed Kombo to act for a period of three months until a permanent appointment is made.

He takes over from incumbent Samson Torovi whose five-year term expired early this year.

Meanwhile, Ambunti-Dreikikir MP and chairman of public service Tony Aimo warned public servants to implement political directives so that people would receive services they have been deprived of.

“I do not want to see public servants playing pokies or drinking under the shade during working hours. I am now sending a signal to the provincial administration to sit down and work with the people,” he said.
