HEKARI United coach Erickson Komeng is hopeful that his team can still play the semifinals of the Women’s National Soccer League (WNSL).
Hekari, Genesis, Poro and Sepik have qualified for the finals, which are on hold due to the new Covid-19 measures on sports.
Komeng said they were not training as they had been advised against doing so.
“My team’s preparation has really been affected and there’s no way to go about it,” he said.
“We have to follow the Covid-19 protocols.
“We were just told to isolate at home, so we’re trying our best to stay safe.
“I was informed that some of my players have been doing their own training and trying to stay fit.
“I’m just hopeful that we can start playing again, but that will depend on the Covid-19 protocols and the situation.”
