THE Koroba Secondary School in Hela has received VSat Telikom internet service and a multi-channel Hitron cable television funded by local MP Philip Undialu.

The VSat communication network was set up by the Telikom Foundation, a subsidiary company of Telikom PNG, funded by Undialu.

Undialu said illicit materials had been blocked from the internet services and could not be accessed by students and teachers.

He said Hitron was engaged to install television services at the school.

“This will also give a relaxed atmosphere for the students and teachers to refresh their minds after long hours of schooling so that they will feel fresh for studies and lesson preparations,” he said.

Undialu gave K1.7 million for school infrastructure maintenance plus the cable television and internet to improve the quality of the school.

He also bought 50 computers for the school.

New facilities for the school include multipurpose messing facility, administration office complex science and computer labs which would need another K1.5 million.
