KUMUL Petroleum Holdings Limited launched its inaugural Charity Golf Cup at the Stanley Hotel last night.
“This initiative was introduced by Kumul Petroleum Holdings to raise funds for Life Care PNG with 20 participants confirmed so far,” KPHL general manager Luke Liria said.
“This will be an annual event that we’ll support to help the charity which is a priority for us to deliver goods and services to the needy in Port Moresby.”
Liria said the 18-hole ambrose event was going on for K3000 per team and they were expecting about up to 40 teams to participate from the corporate sector.
“We’re looking at raising around K120,000 to support Life Care PNG as we have done in the past through our community obligations.
“There are 40 slots for the event and as soon as the numbers are reached we will close the registration.”
Liria said the event would held on July 13 at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club.
“We are encouraging the corporate sector to support this worthy cause as it gives back to the needy at the centre,” Liria said.
Liria officiated at the announcement on behalf of his managing director Wapu Sonk.
Life Care PNG’s Colin Pake expressed his organisation’s gratitude to Kumul Petroleum Holdings as an ongoing partner.
“We are proud that Kumul Petroleum Holdings has come to our aid to support us with the charity golf event that will allow companies to support our cause of looking after for under privileged children in our communities.”
