WINLESS Wantok Gaming System (WGS) Mt Hagen Kuris have rushed in three experienced campaigners to bolster their campaign against Stop N Shop Port Moresby Vipers in Sunday’s game.
Kuris chairman Samuel Buka yesterday confirmed from Mt Hagen that the team had included flying winger Alphonse “Utai” Kapil, former Brian Bell Bulldogs Emmanuel Kunjil and the former Mioks captain Billy Gau to add  experience to the side.
Kapil raised to prominence while playing at wing for Goroka Lahanis.
Kunjil and Gau are seasoned players and are capable of changing Kuris’ fortune.
Buka said Kapil would partner Hagen Park High School student Gary Hou in the centre.
Kuris have also secured the services of Kone Storms halfback Hans Willie from Hanuabada who should boost their offensive play.
“With the inclusion of Willie in the team, we hope to receive some support from the Kone Storms team while in Port Moresby,” he said.
Buka predicted that it would be an interesting tussle with the new kids on the block and the veterans.
“We are not expecting anything big but we are  confident we  will give Port Moresby Vipers something to think about,” he said.
Vipers, with two wins, two draws and one loss, will be out to make amends to get back on the winning track against the Western Highlands representative side.
Coach Paul Komboi is confident that his boys will give their best shot on Sunday.
Komboi will be banking on halfback and five-eighth combination to direct the flow of traffic while he will be rely on his forwards to break the opponents’s defence with continuous raids in their territory.
He said he respected the Kuris’ and said his boys know what was  expected of them.
In the other bemobile matches, Muruks will take on Kongo Coffee Warriors at Dickson Oval in Kundiawa, Lahanis clash with ACTL Bombers in Lae, Rangers lock horns with Mioks in Wabag.
