MADANG’S lack of leadership is one factor that has resulted in the tense situation the province is now facing. It’s a clear sign of political negligence when our leaders put their own interest ahead of the people’s.
In-fighting among public servants for position must now cease for smooth transition in all aspects of daily activities.
The issue must be resolved at once to ensure smooth operation of daily government.
Tourism in the province is gradually dropping.
It is one of the major revenue generators to the government’s purse.
Issues in the province are varied and at times confusing.
Some are interrelated while others occur in isolation.
It will take some time to identify what caused this shenanigan.
We cannot blame anybody.
We must blame ourselves because this is the one factor causing this situation.
Should the province get rid of its settlements?
Most are linked to the rise in crime in the province.
My answer no.
Not all settlers are bad.
Careful and proper consultation with all concerned parties is the best approach.
Rushed decisions are bad.
Urban drift has affected many parts of PNG.
