LEADERS Genesis will face fourth-placed National Capital District (NCD) tomorrow at the Papua New Guinea Football Stadium in the main match (3pm kick-off) in round nine of the Southern Conference.
The Percy Mataio-coached side came off an 8-0 victory over Amoana last weekend and they will be building on that win as they take on Wira Wama’s side who defeated Port Moresby Academy 4-0.
Mataio told The National that they would be approaching NCD with the right mindset and attitude to play a strong match, given that all the teams were stepping up their performance towards the end of the season.
“We are mindful of what our opposition are capable of, so we will focus on coming into this game with the right intensity and game approach,” said Mataio.
“All teams that play Genesis have stepped up in their performances, so we want to make sure we are executing our plays with the right mindset and attitude that will enable us to perform consistently throughout the match.”
Wama said his side were not focusing on where they were on the ladder.
“I’m just encouraging my girls to stay positive and finish our remaining matches on a high note,” he said.
