THE new Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) office in Lae will serve the people of Mamose who at times had to travel to Port Moresby to access services, acting managing director Clarence Hoot says.
The Lae IPA office is now capable of handling some functions such as the registration of companies, business names, associations or business groups.
People can also access information on companies which are registered with IPA.
“One can use a smartphone to log into the IPA website, register in it and have access to company information after being authorised, or could do registration online,” Hoot said.
“Once you have access online, you can access your company’s information and do changes to whatever information you would like to update.”
Chairman of the Lae Chamber of Commerce Allan McLay said it was very important for the IPA to open an office in Lae to connect the private sector with the government.
