Lae Eight-Ball teams urged to follow measures

ALL nine Lae Corporate Eight-Ball teams have been urged to adhere to the Government’s Niupela Pasin measures to avoid transmitting the Coronavirus, according to coordinator Nicole Monmai.
“Only players are allowed when their pool games are scheduled,” she said.
Monmai said the competition had been spread out during the week adhere to the measures.
“Players must have their masks on when present for the games,” she said.
Monmai said teams must be in full attire and their players registered.
She said the deadline for attire and registration was this Saturday.
The Mt Golpu-sponsored competition is heading into rounds two and three with defending champions Kuima Security sitting atop the ladder on 24 points, followed by Golpu Team One (18).
The competition is been played at Aviat Social and Sporting Club.
Trailing the top-two teams are Golpu Two, Lae Auto Clinic, Guard Dog Security, Legal Eagles, Andersons, Dekenai and Lamadeb Security.
On Monday, ladder-leading Kuima beat Lamadeb 5-2.
Lamadeb, who join the competition late, will play their round-two games against Lae Auto Clinic on Friday and Andersons on Saturday.
Other matches scheduled for the week will see Legal Eagles taking on Guard Dog Security in their round-three game tonight and Dekenai battling Andersons tomorrow (round three).
At 2pm on Saturday, Golpu Two play Kuima (table two) and Guard Dog Security face Lae Auto Clinic (three).
At 4pm, Kuima meet Lae Auto Clinic (two) and Legal Eagles face Golpu One (three) before Legal Eagles battle Dekenai (two) at 6pm.
To round out the weekend’s matches, Guard Dog Security play Golpu Two (two) and Golpu One meet Andersons (three) with both matches cueing off at 8pm.
