THIRTY new members of the Cassowary Road United Church in Lae were baptised at Wagang village on Sunday.
The service was conducted by Reverend Vai Baonere at the village in the Ahi local level government.
The baptism was to formally include them as church members so that they can start “professing and witnessing” for Jesus Christ.
The members went through a six-week training programme to educate them on Christian values.
Baonere said the church had been baptising people for at least six years. “We and the parents of the young people are also looking forward to the next batch
of water immersion baptism that is going to be conducted,” Baonere said.
