Lae Tennis lauds junior players following regional meet

THE Lae Tennis Club has congratulated its sole junior Cassandra Thomas who was selected along with seven other PNG juniors to represent the West Pacific region in the Pacific Oceania Junior Championship in July.
This will be the second time Thomas makes the team for the Under-12 girls division after her recent success, finishing second place in the girls’ team event at the West Pacific Junior Championship early this month.
The other seven juniors are Port Moresby-based athletes that have fared well at the recent championship in Lautoka.
“It’s another proud moment for Lae Tennis as we congratulate Cassandra Thomas for being selected to represent West Pacific in the U12 girls team event. This will be her second year in a row to be selected,” the club said in a statement.
“We wish them all the best in their training as they continue to represent PNG.”
