Landowner company invests K20mil in office complex

A LANDOWNER company is investing K20 million in a building in Port Moresby to house its operation.
PNG Mining and Petroleum Hospitality Services focuses on catering and camp management services.
Its chairman Peter Heno was at the ground-breaking ceremony with Oil Search former managing director Peter Botten.
PNG Mining and Petroleum Hospitality Services is owned by landowners of Hides, Kutubu/Moran, Gobe and Kikori.
Heno said although their core business was catering and hospitality services, they had diversified into agriculture to help the local communities venture into logistical services and now investing in an office complex.
The company paid shareholders a dividend of K4.9 million, more than K19 million in tax to the Government and met community obligations such as church donations, school fee assistance, charity work and sports activities.
“In the last four years, our company has grown from strength to strength because of prudent and transparent management and undivided support from our board of directors and shareholders,” Heno said. “Our success will not have come this far without Oil Search Ltd management’s tireless efforts and undivided support and we value your advice and encouragement to make a difference in this country.”
Heno thanked Botten to be associated with Oil Search.
“We still have a dream that we wanted to continue to strive to be the best and remain the caterer of choice,” he said.
