Landowner MPs shooting their own feet by passing environment law

Letters, Normal

The amendment to the Environment Act passed 73-10 last week showed the majority of our MPs do not know what they are doing.
It will be very interesting to see how these MPs, especially landowners, react when they find their own lawsuits being thrown out because of the law they themselves passed.
The 73 MPs who voted for the amendment are either sleeping or empty between their ears because they failed to understand the implications of their action.
I agree with others that Parliament must make it a law for those who want to become MPs to have at least a Grade 12 education before they can stand for elections.
We do not need more clowns.
