Leaders in schools learn skills

STUDENT leaders from secondary schools in Hoskins are attending a three-day training on fostering effective leadership and good governance.
Hoskins education officer Ben Mabobo said the workshop was to instill in students positive attitude and life skills.
Mabobo said the subjects covered included peer pressure, boy-girl relationships, leadership communication, schools rules, anger management, public speaking, conflict resolutions and mediation.
He said they planned to include all Grade 10 students in the training from next year.
The training workshop was attended by prefects from Hoskins Secondary, Hoskins Girls and Moramora Technical schools.
The training is conducted by guidance officer Soneya Bayasa.
Students will be issued certificates upon completion.
