Legal professionals commit to honesty

THE East New Britain (ENB) legal professionals marched to mark the opening of another legal year in Kokopo this week with a commitment to accountability and transparency through better communication.
Resident judge Justice Stephen Kassman led the procession that included ENB senior magistrate Samuel Lavutul, magistrates, representative of the PNG Law Society Tauvasa Tanuvasa, lawyers, police, Kerevat jail and probation services officers and ENB deputy governor and Bitapaka local level government (LLG) president Cosmas Bauk.
A church service was held at the Kenabot Baptist Church.
Justice Kassman said they needed to communicate to “all our court users and the public about our court sittings and list of matters”.
