Let government implement policies

Letters

I COMMENT on what Prime Minister James Marape said yesterday that “he will consider himself a failure if PNG does not become the richest black nation on earth by 2029”.
This is just a month into assuming the office of Prime Minister and if PM really means what he said, he should start achieving some of his strategies by making it workable and achievable, in that the people of this country will truly trust his words.
Right now, nothing has been done and nothing has been achieved so far.
His government only stated investing into agriculture and SMEs.
That is good.
Let farmers’ cheers after harvesting their produce.
Then only we can start talking about the above.
The notion of “if PNG does not become the richest black nation on earth by 2029” is just a political gimmick to cling onto power till 2029.
Let your government implement your polices and make it fruitful to convince citizens and shareholders.
Right now, one cannot believe in what is said but it can be achievable only when policies are implemented and are seeing on ground and felt by everyone.
