Let landowner companies benefit

Letters

I THANK the Gulf government for allocating K1.5 million from the Infrastructure Development Grant (IDG) to build security housing and a boom gate at the Kaiam Bridge.
This would monitor people and vehicles coming down from the highlands to Kikori in Gulf.
The Gulf government has taken another K1.5 million of the total K3.5 million for unspecified projects.
The UBS Kokopo and the LBSA Pom agreement states clearly that these funds are to be sorely used to develop infrastructure in the project areas.
Out of the K3.5 million, landowner companies are left with only K500,000.
All landowner companies would not benefit from this funds.
Governor Chris Haiveta and your Gulf IDG committee should screen all this landowner companies before paying the remaining K500,000.
Give landowner companies the opportunity to participate in building Kikori.
My company is still waiting to be funded to build Veiru Community School which is in a dire need of new teachers’ houses and classrooms.
