Link PNG announces acting GM

ALEX Kia has been appointed acting general manager of Link PNG, a subsidiary of Air Niugini.
Kia has been with Air Niugini for the past 14 years holding various management roles.
He holds a bachelor in public policy and management degree from the University of PNG, diploma in accounting and diploma in International Air Transport Association (IATA) airline management.
Kia thanked the board and management for their trust and confidence in him.
“It’s a team effort and together we look forward to building on Link PNG’s strength to maximise opportunities in a safe and compliant manner, while noting the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic impacting the aviation industry globally.”
Kia started working with Air Niugini in 2006 as a traffic officer at the Nadzab Airport in Lae.
