LLG elections

THE likely deferral of the local level government elections is commended.
Taking into account the factors highlighted on the front page of The National, it would be wise and fair that priority be given to activities that will revive the economy.
Besides that, most LLGS in the country are not functioning and play no part in service delivery to the people.
Postponing the LLG elections will not have any significant effect on the day-to-day lives of our rural people.
Even eliminating this level of the government will save a significant amount of money that can be used to fund sustainable income-generating activities for our country.
