LLG, financial firm help farmers

PEOPLE in the Korai ward of the Bitapaka local level government in Kokopo, East New Britain (ENB), will benefit from its partnership with the Kada Poroman Microfinance Ltd (KPML).
Bitapaka LLG president Cosmas Bauk said a branch of the KPML will be established in the Korai ward to assist farmers in the area.
“The Kada Microfinance Limited is one of our financial institutions in Kokopo district that will drive the financial inclusion programme to train farmers at home so that they know how to manage their savings with KPML,” Bauk said.
The ward committee plans to build a resource hall, a ward members house and office built in the resource centre, and a canteen.
