LOCAL firms are being given the opportunity to display their products to delegates attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings.
Some were at the Laguna Hotel on Saturday showing the delegates the different types of bilum, hats and paintings available.
The delegates were not the only ones there. Joyce Kennedy, 89, a visitor from Minnesota in the United States was there too. She said she had visited the stalls four times in the past week looking for souvenirs to take back to her friends.
“I just bought something for my god son, something for a good friend of mine,” she said. The Banaba Boutique Limited sells bilum merchandise which attracted Apec delegates and Kennedy.
Kennedy is here to visit her grandchildren and great-grand children. She is the mother in-law of Sir Charles Lepani, the director-general of the PNG Apec Coordination Authority.
