TWO local companies agreed yesterday to partner and do road works in Kikori, Gulf.

The deal to do this was signed in Port Moresby yesterday between Kikori Construction Ltd, a subsidiary of Kikori Gas Pipeline Landowners Association (KGP), and Chimbu’s Sky Development Corporation Ltd.

Sky Development Corporation Ltd is an experienced local company that has been doing civil works for more than 20 years in the country.

The company has motivated KGP to go into partnership to do civil works in the Kikori area under the Kikori master development plan project.

Kikori Construction Ltd chairman Mark Sarong said the project was expected to complete after 20 years.

“Nothing is too big or too small. If we have the money and skills then we can move forward and deliver what we are aiming for,” Sky Development Corporation Ltd director Geoffrey Kama said.

Both firms are looking forward to engaging themselves with the China Railway group of companies and China Engineering companies to help them with the civil works.

Work would include the Kikori township road, Kikori to Kopi road and the Gobe to Paia road.
