THE Mulfox soccer team from Murian village in the Kandrian-Gloucester district, West New Britain will be donning new uniforms to participate in the provincial games.
It will be a lead-up preparation to the PNG Games in Kokopo, East New Britain in November.
Local businessman Bailey Joshua sponsored the team with two sets of uniforms and gave out walk-out T-shirts courtesy of the PNG Party leader and Vanimo-Green MP Belden Namah.
Bailey said he was proud to sponsor the soccer team because David Muta, one of the players from their village had made it to the top.
“We have to build sports facilities at the district level to encourage youths and draw on our raw talents” Bailey said.
He said the next priority was to link districts to the national level through affiliation.
“Our aim is to involve youths at the national level and I hope to use my funds to sponsor them at the national level.”
