A LOCAL man from Manus and New Ireland has invested K30,000 in an outlet to sell sports products and garments in Port Moresby.

Steven Francis who opened Tau Sportswear PNG last Friday said most items were being imported from Fiji.

Located at Tabari Place, Paradise Arcade, Boroko, Francis said the products were affordable to Papua New Guinea sporting association or the national federation.

He said even corporate sector uniform wear can be selected from the wide range Tau Sportswear offered.

They do design, sew and supply a range of quality durable sportswear and garments.

Francis said the company’s garment factory used the latest technology to create design from start to the finish product.

“We are able to create for you a unique fabric design using a sublimation printing process, which is a printing process that uses heat to transfer ink to fabric. This enables us to provide a range of uniquely printed designs on fabric in very short time.”

The shop would be managed by Robert Palan Kimai, the general manager of Europcar PNG, who was present during the official opening.
