Locally-produced films to feature in festival at Goroka

FIFTEEN locally-produced films will be featured in the Human Rights Film Festival at the University of Goroka this week.
There are two international films.
They include Aliko and Ambai which was filmed in Goroka, Power Meri and I’m Moshanty. Do you love me?
French Ambassador Philippe Janvier-Kamiyama opened the festival representing the European Union which supported the chapter of the festival time this year.
The festival will focus on land rights and the environment, human rights and development, and gender equality.
Panel discussions, speakers and live entertainment are part of the advocacy during the festival.
The festival will next be held in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville for its final chapter of the year – in Buka, Arawa and Buin –early next month.
The PNG Human Rights Film Festival 2018 committee comprises the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Port Moresby Arts Theatre, Equal Playing Field, European Union, Transparency International, Divine Word University, UNAIDS, UNDP, UN Women, UNFPA, United States embassy and World Vision.
