Two hundred seats have been reserved for Papua New Guinean businesses at the CEO Summit in September, according to the PNG Apec Business Advisory Council (Abac).
The summit will be held from Nov 15-17 in Port Moresby.
Local business leaders will have the opportunity to be part of this experience, says Abac member Wayne Golding.
“This CEO Summit is not only for international visitors, but it is for us too,” he said.
“That’s why we have allocated 200 seats to local businesses.
“It is very important for us that our people are involved as much as possible.
“The experience to be had from listening and interacting with the world leaders is quite phenomenal.”
Abac communications executive director Mathew Park said interested people had to apply as soon as possible on the Abac website while noting that there would be certain criteria used to select local businesses to attend the summit.
“You can register online your interest to attend,” he said.
“Once we receive it all, it goes through a vetting process and we send out invitation to those that will be able to attend.
“The seats are very limited so please register early.
“We also have a huge commitment to the Papua New Guinean businesses as well.
“We are factoring huge number of seats to local delegates.
“With 21 economies and 900 seats in total, 200 of which are reserved for Papua New Guinean business, that is a huge percentage for such a global event.”
