Locals urged to surrender suspect

MANUS police commander Chief Insp David Yapu wants locals on Rambutso Island to surrender the suspect who allegedly raped a grade seven schoolgirl last Sunday.
“The 16-year-old girl was walking home at 7pm when she was confronted by the known suspect who allegedly forced her into the bush and raped her,” he said. “The schoolgirl was taken to the Panuselu health centre for medical examination.”
