Logistics is key to future, says official

LOGISTICS is the key to the future of Post PNG Ltd’s business, says chairman Robert Bradshaw.
Bradshaw said Post PNG was operating at 43 locations around the country.
“We have been tendering for health and education contracts for the last 15 years,” Bradshaw said.
“We have never got one contract until this year. There has been a shift and we thank the Marape-led Government for this.
“We have just been given a health delivery contract for the New Guinea Islands.
“From our information, we have delivered more than the others that were chosen for the other regions.
“In fact, the others that were chosen for the other regions have not started yet because they don’t have the money for mobilisation and performance security bond.
“We don’t need to mobilise because we are already there in 43 locations. So this gets a little frustrating for us in Post PNG.
“We are already there, we have been bidding for the last 15 years and this year we thankfully have one contract and we are miles ahead.
“We give the Health Department real-time information. When we deliver to a village, everything is uploaded and the information is delivered to the department.
“We are owned by the people of Papua New Guinea and it just defies logic that we don’t get contracts from the Health Department, Education and others.”
