Love for material, root of all evil

THE selfish and unwise love for material things is the root of all evil. This point should be evident to all Papua New Guineans since we all come from selfless, kind families and cultures where sharing is the norm. We call our own system wantok and attach a very sinister connotation to it.
The reason why the system isn’t working is because we think it’s exclusive to our own families and fail to realise the underlying truth.
The truth is that the same God that created our tribe is the same God that created our rival’s tribe.
How hard is it to accept this purely self-less and wise truth.
For when we truly do, we will treat all as family and indirectly and subconsciously be kind to all others. That’s our PNG economic system; one of selflessness and wisdom.
