Madang welcomes new supermart

MADANG town welcomed its newest supermarket yesterday when Chinese investor, J & Z Enterprises, opened its new store Kasagten Haus with bargain prices for the customers who flooded the shop.

The new Kasagten Haus supermarket, which is housed in two floors, is the latest addition to the J & Z family of shops in Madang.

Located along Kasagten Street in the centre of town, the new supermarket was built on the old colonial era building with the same name that was burnt down in 2010.

The J&Z shops have been popular with ordinary people due to their comparatively lower prices particularly on common goods such as food and toiletries.
