THE Gerehu Magpies returned with a vengeance on Saturday to outshine the Taurama Suns at Taurama Barracks in Port Moresby AFL.

The Pies, after a shocking loss to Defence of Murray Barracks last week took their revenge on the 1RPIR Taurama with a stunning  9.8 (62) to 7.5(47).

With PNG Mosquito stalwart Bruce Sovara controlling traffic at the centre square, the Gerehu boys restricted the Suns to a lone point in the final quarter as they piled on three goals against the wind to claim victory.

The Suns had the upper-hand at halftime when they led 6.2 (38) to 4.6 (30) but failed to maintain their form in the third quarter and only managed one goal and two behinds.

The Pies major goal kickers were Camillo Ekari (3), Pedro Eka (2), Ishmael Ekari, Shannon Lavai, Larry Laori and Benson Dongo one each.

The best for the Suns were Jeffery Namete, Frednian Musi, Chris Mong and Gideon Hauta.
