Malaysians give to charities

TWO charities received K40,000 each from the Malaysian Association of PNG yesterday.
Association’s president Ang Cheng Chooi handed the cheques to representatives from the PNG Children’s Foundation and the Kidney Foundation at the Rimbunan Hijau
(PNG) Group headquarters in Port Moresby.
The president of the PNG Kidney Foundation Chew Pang Heng said persons requiring a kidney transplant had to do so overseas and the cost was high.
He said the donation from the Malaysian association would help those who did not have the means.
PNG Children’s Foundation adviser Nene Cruz thanked the Malaysian association for its continuous support.
The foundation also presented a certificate of appreciation to the association.
