Mama groups get support

Business

THE Kavieng district development authority is committed to assisting mothers and young women in the Tigak mainland area with a business plan.
The assurance was conveyed at a community development forum at Kasselok village in the Tikana local level government on Saturday by Kavieng MP Ian Ling-Stuckey.
He allocated K40,000 to Kasput and K30,000 to the Panakap mama groups.
The district hopes to provide them seed capital as grants and allocated K1 million to the New Ireland Savings and Loans Society to be used as loans to small businesses.
