Man attending youth rally, stabbed during fight

A MAN attending a youth rally hosted by the Catholic church in Manus over the weekend was attacked.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at 8pm at Mokoreng in the Los Negros local level government (LLG) area.
Manus police commander Chief Insp David Yapu said Hillary Collin, 30, from Mokoreng, was stabbed on his left side below the armpit during a fight.
Yapu said Collin was rushed to hospital and remained in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Lorengau hospital yesterday.
“A suspect in the attack was arrested by police and he is in custody.
Police investigating incident did not know the motive for the attack.
Meanwhile, police said the Guomei Trade Store was burgled on Saturday night.
Yapu said a suspect, 17 was arrested and was in police custody.
Two laptops and other items, all worth about K15,000, were stolen.
