A MAN accused of stealing from his employer had his case adjourned until next month after he was read his charge in the Waigani committal court.
Magistrate Cosmas Bidar adjourned the case of Allan Bagita, 29, from Hula village, Abau in Central, to Jan 9. He is charged with stealing two drum-cartridges valued at K1,752.50 belonging to the Fuji Xerox Business Centre in 4-Mile, Port Moresby.
It was alleged that on Nov 26, at around 10am, Bagita was at the business centre.
He allegedly got the two drum-cartridges and put them inside an empty box with some rubbish he had collected inside the office. Bagita then carried the box outside the office.
He told the security guard that the box contained rubbish that needed to be disposed of. The security then proceeded to scan the box and found two new drum-cartridges inside. The group manager confirmed that the cartridges were still new. He was arrested and charged with one count of stealing.
