A 35-YEAR-OLD man was committed to stand trial in the National Court for causing a fatal road accident in July.
Lae Committal Court senior Magistrate Pious Tapil ruled that there were enough evidence to prove the charge against Tony Anowara, from Lufa’s Kiovi village, Eastern Highlands.
He then ordered the defence counsel to file a submission on the ruling on Dec 20.
Anowara allegedly drove a Hyundai HD65 truck on the Wau-Bulolo Highway between 5pm and 6pm when the accident occurred.
Police alleged that the vehicle was overloaded with people and their cargo on their way to a three-day youth camp in Wampar’s Mare village in Huon Gulf.
