A MAN was apprehended by the public at the Hohola bus stop and his vehicle window smashed with sticks and stones by bystanders.
He is now being investigated by police, Hohola station commander Senior Inspector Ben Kua said.
He said the man was held up at Hohola.
He was in his vehicle at a car park when the people rushed to his vehicle and brought him out.
Kua said the people thought he was looking out to kidnap females passing by. “The suspect believed to be a legal officer told police officers so but we don’t know if he was telling the truth,” he said.
Police took him to Boroko to be questioned and further investigated Kua said.
A few unsuccessful attempts were made at breaking into Asian shops at Hohola.
Kua said everything was back to normal although police remained alert about suspicious people and vehicles.
