Management posts confirmed

TWENTY-THREE middle management positions for the Department of National Planning and Monitoring were confirmed on Wednesday.
According to a statement by the Department of National Planning and Monitoring in a Facebook posting, it was the first time in years for the middle management personnel to be confirmed to positions.
Secretary Koney Samuel, who officiated at the signing of contracts, said of the 23 contracts that were signed, 10 of the contract recipients were new at this level, being elevated formally for the first time to the assistant secretary level.
“Note that the contracts are performance based and, therefore, the continuity of your services will depend on the achievement of targets as per your respective contracts over the next two years,” Samuel said.
“As senior officers of the department, you have responsibilities and authority.
“Take a clear look at your job descriptions and understand your roles and responsibilities.
“The onus is on you on how you lead your respective teams to become vibrant productive teams that support the objectives of your divisions and this department.”
