Manam folks suffering

aWHY is it taking the government ages to resettle Manam Islanders?
The volcanic activities on the island continue to make life hard for islanders who have been evacuated.
There are already many problems on the mainland at Magem, Asuramba and Potzdam plantations.
Many lives have been lost, properties destroyed and there also seem to be political interest in the plantations.
After eight years, those in authority still cannot get their priorities right.
Manam Islanders are deprived of their rights and the younger generations suffer from mental stress.
This has contributed to homebrew- and drug-related problems.
