Manhunt for alleged rapist

POLICE have launched a manhunt for an alleged rapist who killed his girlfriend in Western’s Daru, South Fly acting commander Sr Insp Ewai Segi says.
“The fugitive has a knack to escape from Daru police station whenever he is arrested,” he said.
Sr Insp Segi said the man killed his girlfriend at Gamea corner last week.
“The community is fed up with him and is cooperating with the police to hunt him down. We have been tipped off that the suspect has fled Daru Island and is hiding in Tapila.”
