Manu market

Letters

THIS is a plea to NCD Governor Powes Parkop that we want NCD Commission to temporary block the old Manu market.
Currently, it’s becoming breeding grounds for thugs who harass students in the mornings and afternoons at the bus stops.
The place is conducive for dealers to sell their marijuana. It is a common sight where you will notice every day of the week.
It is not safe. The guys there snatch bags, mobile phones, wallets and even harass young females. There is hardly any freedom of movement for females at old Manu Market.
Please for the safety of residents and commuters, we urge the governor to barricade the place and relocate the betel nut vendors elsewhere as dwellers ply their trade in there also.
School children, our females and the elderly must have the freedom of movement around without fear.
