Maprik police get boost from MP

POLICE in Maprik, East Sepik, were given a new vehicle on Tuesday by Agriculture and Livestock Minister and Maprik MP John Simon to boost policing in the district.
When presenting the vehicle, Simon told the police officers to use it for operations and not to misuse the vehicle.
East Sepik police commander Supt Albert Beli, who received the vehicle, also warned the officers in the district not to misuse the vehicle because two of their vehicles had been involved in accidents recently.
He said the vehicle would be used by the prosecution division at Maprik to help speed up court processes.
