THE East New Britain Market Authority will be imposing strict rules to the public – vendors and customers alike must wear a mask on entering the Kokopo main market.
This was revealed yesterday by the acting ENB market supervisor Stanis Tavune.
Tavune said it was the directive given to them by the ENB state of emergency (SOE) to implement: “No mask-no entry policy.”
“We have already written to the ENB SOE to relax some of the Covid-19 protocols within the market area but the response given to us was, they want us to start implementing the no mask – no entry policy, therefore we started implementing it (yesterday),” Tavune said.
He urged the public to be responsible and do the right thing by wearing masks upon entering the market.
