Masere calls on Oro government to support MPs

IJIVITARI MP Richard Masere wants the Oro (Northern) government to help its open MPs to develop the province.
He made the call recently during the opening of a refurbished Gona aid post in Kausada village in the Oro Bay local level government area.
“I want to challenge my provincial government. Where I fall short in my work, they must step in and help.
“We open members are doing everything without the support of the provincial government and it hurts my heart,” he said.
Masere said there was no unity among the three leaders in the province.
“We are one of the smallest provinces in the country but the three leaders are not working together, that’s the truth.
“We are getting angry at ourselves over a lot of little things.
“Oro is not a difficult province to change.”
Masere believes that things will run well in the province if the provincial government stepped in and supported the open members where they fell short.
In response to criticisms he has been receiving on social media, Masere said: “To my critics, wherever you are, just shut up.
“You are not doing any work. Shut your mouth.
“I am working and I am delivering.
Masere clarified that unlike the past 10 years, his office has not received K135 million from the Government.
He said his office received K1 million in 2017, K10 million in 2018, K6 million in 2019 and K4 million last year.
“With the little money we are given, we are trying our best to change Ijivitari.
“You (his critics) should be challenging your former members about what they did with K135 million.
“It has only been three years since I took office and you want to criticise me for what?”
